This shadow painting triptych shows an imposing three-master entering the mouth of the Elbe. I painted the picture in 2012 based on my own photograph. The middle panel is dominated by the representation of the ship, on which the outlines of some people and details of the rigging can be seen very well despite the distance. In the background you can see the wind turbines at Friedrichskoog. A navigation mark appears on the right panel in the mouth of the Elbe. The main character on the left panel is a seagull, which is the optical counterpart to the bin on the right panel.
