The memorial in the city center of Hemer commemorates the citizens of Jewish faith who were deported and murdered during the Nazi era. Eight human silhouettes have been cut out of the vertical corten steel plates to represent the victims. The figures torn from life lie on the floor as broken pieces, leaving gaps behind.
